The rise of Shree Balaji Knits is an extraordinary one, a saga of determination, foresight and confident faith. This all started in a small 10×10 room in Gurgaon but is today a textile powerhouse with 25000 sq feet of production facility with an average monthly output of 5000 meters of premium knitted fabrics, providing the finest knitted fabrics to thousands of garment exporters in India. Started by Mr. Shiv Kumar in 2009, a man having many years of intense industry expertise already under his belt since 1997, the firm is living proof that long-term commitment and consistency can create something substantial, one that will last.
It was a modest beginning, close to austerity. The office, the shop and the whole establishment operated out of a small room somewhere with one person or two running the whole thing. Expansion did not occur through any sort of sudden spurt; it took a step-by-step process. The move began with a 2,200-square-foot store, then some increment on the same location and gradually machines were put up as the demand increased. Mr. Shiv Kumar remembers that the market was the first entity the company relied on to support its growth and, as he says, the customers have been the real fuel in the expansion.
Currently, Shree Balaji Knits has a spectacular collection of over 7,000 types of fabrics, including semi-jacquard, full jacquard, terry and rice knit to eyelet, and a large range of blended fabrics such as bamboo and hemp, linen and modal. Shree Balaji Knits has a distinct advantage, in that unlike other companies that seek direct consumer sales, the company has actually opted to service garment exporters on a major scale; one can think of Radnik, Maulana Export, and Pearl Global, among others.
They still place an emphasis on quality, consistency and long-term B2B relationships because only a small percentage of their output is ever direct to retail shelves, 1-2%.
This philosophy towards consistent, intended development has enabled the firm to cope with the dramatically evolving fashion environment. It has become imperative to innovate in fabrics as trends change two to three times every year. That is the reason why Shree Balaji Knits has an in-house designer who generates new textures, blends, and designs of fabric to suit the market demands as well as maintain the custom orders and proactive creation of new samples.
A spiritual meaning is hidden in the name of the company. Shiv Kumar is a Hindu and a devotee of Lord Hanuman and asked a priest in Delhi when naming his business. According to him, if you perform your karma and follow God, you will get successful and he credits the success that the company gets to a combination of hard work and blessing.

Another proud moment this year is when Shree Balaji Knits is a participant in the Textile Fairs India (TFI) 2025 at the Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, one of the largest textile fairs in South Asia. Having welcomed over 31,000 guests every year and possessing a over 20 year old industry tradition, TFI can be recognized as an innovator, a creator of international networks, and a leader when it comes to sustainability. Shree Balaji Knits is going to showcase the quality fabric at stall no. L18 & L19 in Hall no. 3 among the most reputed manufacturers in the country.
Shree Balaji Knits provides a wide selection of fabrics and products, which includes jersey and spandex, woven and non-woven, PVC and special textiles. This is because, in realizing this vision, they introduce new and superior machines every year to keep abreast of the globe and be competitive.

A tale of trust, quality and vision; they started out in a 10×10 room and became a leader in their industry. When it comes to fabrics, TFI 2025, Shree Balaji Knits, is much more than an exporter of fabrics; they offer a heritage of patience and innovation and craftsmanship, developed after decades of step-by-step development.
