New Delhi, 11th October 2025: Day Four at Lakmē Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI, ended with the grand fashion collection where Shantnu Nikhil in collaboration with NEXA showcased the spectacular collection called “Velora.” Thefirst-ever all womenswear couture showcase in India, marking a bold new era for the Maison.Long celebrated for rewriting the codes of Indian menswear, the couturiers now turn their gaze to  the woman, carving a red-carpet identity that is fearless, glamorous, and unapologetically  sensual, presented in collaboration with the Limited Edition Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ.

Inspired by the sophistication, allure, mystic, and timeless luxury of black, Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ edition, the collection, Velora, featured the distinct identity of the inspiration. Bringing the cinematic, nostalgic allure, the designers reimagined the Red Carpet stylish iconic looks that featured outstanding drapes, which defied imagination. The silhouettes seduce and sculpt in equal measure: corseted bodices with plunging lines, gowns that flow like liquid architecture and draped forms that command attention. Embellishments intensify the drama with pearl-studded embroideries, cascades of crystals, and metallic flashes that shimmer like starlight.

The palette is commanding yet sensual, shifting from power reds and obsidian blacks to  liquid silvers and luminous pearls. Each hue amplifies contrast; structure against fluidity,  discipline against desire, reflecting the paradox that defines the modern siren and anchoring  Shantnu Nikhil Couture’s distinctive design ethos.

“Velora is about rewriting the script of glamour,” say designers Shantnu and Nikhil. It is velvet power and crystal light; a collection that reflects the aura of women who command rather than conform, who see the red carpet not as tradition but as territory to own. More than a collection, Velora is a manifesto of modern couture for women, marking our all-womenswear debut on the Indian runway. Partnering with NEXA’s Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ edition was a natural fit. We were inspired by its sleek, enigmatic ‘PHANTOM BLAQ’ and accents of champagne gold, elements seamlessly woven into the DNA of this collection.”

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, said: “As NEXA turns 10, we celebrate a decade of challenging conventions and crafting experiences that have redefined the automotive industry in India. This milestone finds expression in the Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ Edition, a rare embodiment of elegance, exclusivity, and modern craftsmanship. The Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ’s distinct design language also finds a couture counterpart in Shantanu & Nikhil’s exquisite collection, extending NEXA’s world of innovation and artistry beyond mobility.”

The Shantnu Nikhil Couture collaboration with the NEXA Grand Vitara PHANTOM BLAQ edition, featured a collection that was an ode to amazing, nostalgic, fashion glamour that moved onto a contemporary path for the coming season.
